Contact the editors

The form below goes to the five editors, and one of us reads every message. Short and specific works best.
What to send
- Corrections. Name the page and the sentence, and if you can, point us to the source that shows the error.
- Ideas for explainers. A question you couldn't find a clear answer to is the most useful kind.
- Questions about something we published: a term we didn't define, a source you'd like to see, or two pages that seem to disagree.
What we can't do
- Give personal medical advice or comment on your own treatment.
- Recommend or refer you to clinics, doctors or clinical trials. ClinicalTrials.gov lists registered studies, and your own doctor is the right person to talk a trial through with.
- Review products on request.
- Sell, arrange or broker cord blood banking. Our cord blood banking explainer covers how public and private banks differ.

Most messages get an answer within about a week. Corrections are checked first, and if we change a page we'll tell you what changed. We use your name and email address only to reply. The privacy page explains how long we keep messages and what else the site stores.
