Terms of use
These terms cover your use of proteonomix.com. By reading or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Information, not advice
Everything on this site is general information for readers who want to understand regenerative medicine, biotechnology and the life sciences. None of it is medical, financial or legal advice, and none of it is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
Reading the site or writing to the editors does not create a doctor and patient relationship, or any other professional relationship, between you and us. We don't diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or refer readers to clinics, cord blood banks or clinical trials. Decisions about your health belong with you and your doctor. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number straight away.
The same applies to money. Pages about biotech companies, funding and filings explain how the industry works. They are not recommendations to buy, sell or hold any investment.
Accuracy and corrections
We work from named sources and review our reference pages on a schedule, but science moves, regulations change and mistakes happen. We don't promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors at the moment you read it. Each reference page shows the date it was last reviewed.
If you find a mistake, please tell us through the contact page. When a correction changes the meaning of a piece, we fix the text and add a note saying what changed and when.
Links to other websites
Our articles link to other sites, including government agencies, journals and trial registries, so you can check our sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of the site, its owner or anything it sells.
Intellectual property
The text, images, graphics and page design on proteonomix.com belong to us unless a page says otherwise. You may quote brief passages for commentary, teaching, research or news reporting, as long as you name Proteonomix as the source and link to the page you quoted. Teachers may share links to our pages with students freely.
Please don't republish whole articles or substantial parts of them, copy our images, or present our work as your own without written permission. Requests can go through the contact page.
Using the site responsibly
You agree not to use the site in a way that harms it or other readers. That includes trying to break into the admin area or any part of the site you aren't meant to reach, sending spam or abusive messages through the contact form, scraping the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or attempting to introduce malicious code.
Messages you send us
When you write to us, you give us permission to read your message and reply to it. We won't publish your name or your message without asking you first. How we store and delete messages is set out in the privacy policy.
No warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the site or its content, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from your reliance on anything published here, or from your inability to use it. This includes direct, indirect, incidental and consequential losses. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the site's operators are based, without regard to conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about these terms can go through the contact page.
